I’ve been collecting a small pile of photographs and postcards from various places over the past term and couldn’t quite decide what to do with them. Some of these images date back from 1904 which is an amazing feeling to know that you can hold something so ephemeral that has lasted over 100 years.
I then came across the posters of Stéphane Massa-Bidal from Retrofuturs, which I find incredibly inspiring. I also found the work of Chad Hagen who dips into a nostalgic selection of retro graphics that are truly delightful.
A giant thank you to Ben Rose who sent me the most amazing postcard (fourth one down) which he purchased in an old Brighton junk shop and also to Rosemary Duffy who’s photographs (five and nine) I have also used.

The following postcards designed by myself are influenced by their approach to vintage imagery.
